Description

Racing thoughts is an exploration of the lyrical potential, the violent, gritty sounds and colours the cello off ers. The musical material moves mostly at a fast pace, flicking between dynamically contrasting gestures, longer expressive lines and sudden eruptions creating momentary harmony through the echoing body of the instrument. The expressivity and colour is further enhanced by the occasional use of microtones.
