Description
The line-up for this piece draws instruments from each of the ‘orchestral families’ giving me a possibility to explore a variety of instrumental colours and textures, hence the title Sävyt (‘hues’). The piece is unified through reoccurring material characterised by the use of spectral techniques, quarter tones and octatonic inflections.
