Description

The first version of the Variations for piano was created in Gothenburg in 1994 under the name Makyo and premiered in Berlin in 1997. This version was also released on CD in 2001 on the col
legno label in a recording with Andreas Göbel.
The new and final version of the work presented here is the result of a revision that primarily affected the first and 4th movement and changed the 7-movement structure of the first version
in favour of only 6 movements by shortening the earlier 7th movement and adding it to the 6th movement. With the revision of the work the title was changed to Mirages.
