Description
The title “Four Homages” recalls the “Homenahe a la guitarra” by Eduardo Sainz de la Maza. Apart from the similarity of the title, the conception of the pieces also have certain similarities: Just as Sainz de la Maza tries to unite the most beautiful guitar techniques and tone colors in one composition, Willi Leinen takes up ideas of his favorite guitar composers in his work and is inspired by their idiomatic composition techniques, style and respective tone colors, but without renouncing his own originality.
