Some time ago Aniello Desiderio asked me to write a piece for him. In 2020, I was on tour in the United States when Corona broke out. As I was unable to fly back to Germany because flights were canceled and borders closed, I flew to Canada.

This piece was written in my first quarantine. At that time, I was horrified by the number of deaths, in both New York and Italy. It was terrifying. Life is so fragile. I thought of Aniello and of Italy and this piece “How Long” was born. Funny, at that time, I thought that the pandemic was only to last a few months. The longer time goes by, the more appropriate I find the title.
