How sighs resound is an arrangement and expansion of selected movements from the consort music of three parts by John Jenkins (1592-1678). Movements I, III, V, and VII are arrangements of fantasias for treble, two basses and organ, Viola da Gamba Society (VdGS)
catalogue numbers 18, 11, 12, and 10 respectively. Movements II, IV, and VI, the Resonance movements, are new compositions that draw on some of the materials of the surrounding fantasias.
