Figures of Light is the realisation of an idea that I first sketched in August 2022. The figures are constellations, or moving bodies catching the light in bright sunshine, or clouds flying across a moonlit sky. I wrote the music in November and December 2023 for the album Unmeasured that Kate Ledger recorded in March 2024. Kate gave the first concert performance at KM28, Berlin on 7th April 2025; the work is dedicated to her.
